twist-O-fate

thirty-seven years between

grandpa painted the Connecticut doorstep in 1946 (note the newspaper on the stoop)
after moving to miami beach in the seventies his palette drifted from cold and gray to pastel hued strips of paint and collage. Their strange relativity always mystified me. In addition they were always hung near each other. still blows me away. Oh and the top piece measures about 4 foot square while the lower is in range at 20" by 16"
